CLO: I will show I have learned the basic tools of Illustrator by creating an artwork using positive/negative space, and simple box shapes. (Black Box Project) I will use the design cycle to brainstorm, sketch, create and revise their ideas, and will justify my decisions with peers. I will be able to recognize and apply Contrast, Repetition, Alignment & Proximity (C.R.A.P) to my artwork Use your sketches from earlier. Use Illustrator CS6 (especially the pathfinder tool) to recreate your best examples of the words in a 11x17 document. We should be able to see that you used C.R.A.P. WHAT ARE YOU LEARNING: I will be able to recognize design principles and apply Contrast, Repetition, Alignment & Proximity (C.R.A.P). HOW WILL I KNOW YOU GET IT? Artist follow a simple set of rules. In order for people to understand and communicate their ideas these rules need to be considered. Visual Hierarchy helps viewers see what they see first. Without it images may not communicate the ideas we want them to.
