- Work in silhouette or other vector graphics

- If needed, shoot your own photographs from student models, and use those as a drawing reference.
- All type must be converted to File format: Illustrator: PDF, Photoshop:JPEG
- Save in dropbox!!!

PROJECT: Learn Adobe Illustrator CS3 tools by: coloring a cartoon or logo design What will be on your design be? You may use your own artwork to scan in. It can be a real person, cartoon coloring page or business logo. You are just getting familiar with how to trace and add color using illustrator. Think about your shadows and highlights. Pop Art Portraits
PROJECT: To create a portrait to paint using Photoshop filters & techniques. You will then create a value scale study to paint your portrait. It may be abstract or realistic. Color theme should be monochromatic or complementary colors. Click on picture to see more examples from Pinterest. (you may not be able to view it on DPS wifi)
Students post your photo in drop box to be printed. Think about your composition. What color theory will you use? Why did you choose the person you chose and how did you decide on what colors to use? After your photo is printed, outline the shapes you see. Assign each shape a number according to value. Transfer image to mixed media paper using tracing paper. Mix acrylics to the desired value and paint using your value guide as a reference.

PROJECT: Create an self portrait or portrait of your favorite person using Photoshop techniques and using the rules of composition. You must use TEXT or photo images to create your portrait. Use key images. words to describe that person or quotes, short story or write up about them. Choose your text and pictures wisely.
